Happy New Year everyone!!!

We are on the Seventh day of the new year; how are you feeling? The New Year brings excitement for all the good that is to come. It brings about hope, joy, and anticipation. Most of us have an idea of what we want to accomplish; we either write down in our journal all the goals we want to achieve or create a vision board with all the pictures that represent all the things we want in our lives in the new year.

Like everyone else, my family and I did the countdown into the new year. I was hopeful, but this year, I wanted to enter the year shrewdly. I have an overall idea that I want to accomplish this year, like every other year, but I want to pace myself and be more intentional about the energy that I want to bring to the goals that I want to accomplish.

I went to Pinterest to find a few pictures that represent my vision that I resonated with and had it printed out, but instead of rushing to put it all up on the board, I am being more intentional about what each picture represents and the growth that I would like to see from accomplishing them.
There is no need to hurry into figuring your goals out by the 1st of the year and risk not following through with those goals. Although it is great to have a vision of what you would like to accomplish In the new year, It is important to take intentional time to envision how those goals will play out through the year, think about the small changes you would like to make to help get to your goals. Set some milestones to celebrate the small successes along the way.

The planning process of reaching a goal and setting a routine that will help you get there is just as important as having a dream. A good strategy for the actionable steps you need will help sustain those goals.
